How can i make paper waterproof?

I am doing an art project, which involves suspending tissue paper in water. The paper has been covered in PVA to make it more durable, and have printed words on them. Is there any varnish or something that i can use to stop it dissolving?
 
If you have a Bass Pro Shop in your neighborhood, they have a can of spray for that can waterproof paper or anything else. Not sure if it would work on tissue paper though. Not sure what the name of it is. The can runs about $5. I saw a demonstration of it. Its really neat to watch the demonstration.
 
Follow this link http://www.towsure.com/product/2862-Fabsil_Gold_Aerosol_Spray_(250ml) and buy Fabsil aerosol spray-on waterproofer for £5.95 - you can use it for other projects too. Alternatively go to a shop that sells model aeroplane kits and buy the varnish that is specially formulated for waterproofing and strengthening the tissue paper that some model aeroplanes use in their construction.
