Gear: Dunlop 535q wah, Marshall MG100HDFX head, MG Marshall cab.
Ok so I just bought a wah pedal today, plugged it in normally, through my guitar plugged into the wah and then the wah plugged into the amp, but it caused a ridiculous amount of amp buzz, which I'm not going to put up with.
Then a few hours later, I tried putting it through the effects loop of my amp, which cleared up a lot of the buzz, but still caused a load of it when I played on the OD2 channel (high gain). I can play fine on OD1 (less gain), but if I want to play a higher gain wah-solo, theres a lot of amp buzz.
Now the question is, how can I play on the OD2 channel and not get as much buzz from the wah?
And a second question: If I were to buy a separate distortion pedal (not using the distortion from my amp) like a Boss DS-1 and put that through my effects loop as well, leaving my amp on the regular clean channel, would the amp buzz go away and I would have the DS-1 high gain sound, or would it still cause as much buzz from the high gain?
Thanks.
