How can i make my hair stand up in a cool way?

ok. i have brunette middle straight hair. i use dove therapy shampoo for greasy hair & i don't use condition. after i wash my hair i hold the towel around it & shake it until no water drops left. then i live it until it drys; but the when i blow dry it, it becomes fizzy & it's a MESS! i can't stand it anymore!! can you help me? how can i make Miley or somebody who has a cool hair style out of my hair?
BTW! i'm about 14.
