Hello, normally I answer questions, but this time I have one for you. My car audio shop can't help so maybe you can, here it is:
I have a Pioneer 3300BT HU, 2 Rockford Fosgate Prime 10" SVC 4ohm subs in a downfire sealed enclosure perfect match for airspace, powered by a Orion Cobalt 800.1 amp bridged to 2ohms (good match for power), a Pioneer 400 watt amp powering the mids and highs. Everything is tuned the best it can be. The mids and highs are pretty good, but the lows are terrible. Country music sounds great, as does most top 40. If I try to play anything like rap, or something hard like Korn, it's just distorted and sounds terrible. Also, the Pioneer HU has a max volume of 40 and to get anything loud or sounding good I can push it to 35 and above with ease. Of course, the rap and hard stuff is way terrible. It is all in a Nissan Titan Crew Cab.
On paper this would be a great system, in real life, it's terrible. Where have I gone wrong? Maybe not enough sub? Not enough power? I am at a loss. I don't want to just throw money at this to try and get it pumpin', I need some real help.
