How can I make my car (2006 ford mustang) a little faster?

I just bought a 2006 ford mustang v6 with pony package and I am wondering what are some upgrades I could do to gain a few more HP. I'm not talking about adding a supercharger! My budget right now is about $1,000 MAX. All I have done right now to it is add a throttle body spacer.
