I drive a 1997-98 (not sure which year it is out of those two) Ford Escort. I've been happy with its performance this past year...but this whole weekend I got to drive my grandmas's $40,000 Volvo (not sure what year it is), and i fell in love with its speed. I drove it non-stop. Now that I'm back to driving my Escort what can I do to make it faster? Cold air intake? What? I DO NOT want to spend a lot of money, cause when I graduate high school (I'm a junior) I'll be buying a new car anyways so I don't want all my money to go to making my current car faster. I am willing to spend a little bit but not a whole not. If possible nothing more than $1,000. I really want the acceleration better too.
