After considering many options, I've decided that I want to make my 1991 Toyota extra-cab truck fast. I want to use it for autocross racing while still using it as my main means of transpo. All that I'm sure of so far is that the engine will be replaced with a rebuilt 6 cyl. one. What I'm dreaming to do is: put in a Toyota V8 engine, supercharge the engine, lower the suspension about 2 inches and stiffen it up, upgrade the trans if needed, add fender flares and wider wheels, new paint job. My original dream was a Chevy SSR, but the $35,000 is out of the question as is the insurance. Is there a website, or forum, or individual advice available for what works with this vehicle?
