How can i make corn on the cob for a buffet dinner?

Can I boil the corn the night before and than put it in it's heating tray before serving time? I really don't know how to do this, as silly as it seems
I can't make it right before serving, so is there a way I can make it prior?
 
If the heating tray is a steamer, it will probably cook the corn. If it is not hot enough to cook the corn, then I doubt it will reheat it from refrigerated cold. Best bet, clean the corn the night before and refrigerate, bring your pot of water to a boil then boil the corn within an hour of serving it. Sorry, I know your looking for things to cook ahead of time, but corn would not be your best bet.
