...the death of a family member? I'm giving a speech in two days on arranged marriages. I know that the girl who is going before me is going to talk about cancer and how it killed her mother. I know the audience is going to be feeling very sympathetic towards her, so I'll have to get their attention in some way. What strategies can I use? to make a smooth transition?
