I live in Northern NJ. They are like Ivy, they were in my flower bed, now they are growing on my grass? Also whats the name if it? Thanks!
 
Looks like creeping charlie. It's a tough customer.

There are selective herbicides that you can use in your lawn - they'll kill anything that's not grass. It also leaves residue in the soils for a long time - though that would keep the stuff from growing back...you have to keep spraying as it appears.

But you can't use it in your flower bed - there, you just have to keep pulling it out. There is nothing you can spray there, that will kill the ground ivy, that won't ALSO kill your desirable plants.
