How can I keep my fish in my ponds over winter?

I've got one pond that's 15 1/2" deep, 4' wide, and 5' long and another that is around 21" deep, 2' 3" wide, and 2 1/2' long but I am planning to make it larger around but not much deeper. I've got a UV sterilizer and a fountain in the 15" and two medium sized goldfish and I am hoping to get more and a few koi. There is nothing but water in the 21" at the moment but I am planning to get a a sterilizer and a small fountain as well for it.

How can I keep fish out for the winter because I lose more fish in winter in the house than I do all summer outside?
 
your fish shud b ok in thr pond for the winter, they will go into a dormat phase when it gets cold. keep your pump working during the winter months. good luck
