A poke in the mind hole

I'm in training for a stunt I'll be attempting in which I'll be tied in a straight jacket, in a large sack with a chain and padlock around it, I'll be submerged in a large tank of water so if I fail... I will die. I need some time to increase my ability to hold my breath underwater, as well as calmness when "drowning". I suffer from extremely mild asthma, so what can I do to increase my lung capacity?
