How Can I Increase My Horsepower on my 2009 Honda civic coupe Exl?

I was wondering how i could do that, because i asked my parents, and they said that i couldn't cause the body wouldn't be able to withstand the extra horse power, is that true?
Is there anyway i can increase it?
About how much would it cost?

My Honda Civic has is a V4, and Everything is factory made, I bought it from them, nothing has changed at all.
