How can I include more nature in my surroundings?

I have a book about Feng Shui which I've been reading and there's only so much I can believe about positions of couches and tables. However I do agree that I think nature in the home is a good thing. I live on a block of land with my family - a few fruit trees a grape vine etc etc But my room has absolutely no relevance to nature at all. How can I put some things in here so it seems more natural and less artificial?

Potted plants on the windowsill perhaps? I wouldn't advise growing a tree inside your room, at any rate.

Start off with some potted plants and maybe some water bowls to decorate with. Then if you can afford it, purchase furniture that is made with more all natural components like bamboo.
