How can I improve my exercise by swimming without joining a swim club? I already

know all 4 strokes? How can I improve my exercise by swimming? I do not want to join a swim club as that would take up a lot more of my time but I will try to join a local fitness location during the summer. I know how to swim and currently, the longest distance I can go is 75m doing the freestyle stroke but I would like to improve my stamina and times. I already have an idea of all 4 strokes and I know how to do them but the ones I am better at are Freestyle and Butterfly. How many laps should I focus on each week (or two weeks) for what strokes? Is there a set number of laps I should start out with first each week and keep on improving those times, or should I increase the number of laps I do? I would like to start out slow and improve my exercise as I develop. I only have the summer to work on this so I only have about 10 weeks until school starts again in the fall. Please help me...
