I am 5'5 and weigh 129 lbs and wear a dress size 6, which my doctor told me is a perfect weight for my individual frame, since I'm a natural 32F. I run average-to-cute generally, and I've never had problems getting boyfriends! I run five miles three times a week, and do hatha yoga. I'm also very careful about my foods and portion control. The problem is that being a teenager (I'm 15) is taking a horrible toll on my body image. Most of my friends are overweight, have low self-esteem, and eat poorly. I can't help but let their negative attitudes affect me. My boyfriend and family tell me I'm beautiful every day, and I feel great after I exercise, but I still feel insecure. How can I feel better about my body in such difficult circumstances?
