How can i hook up my stereo to my Vizio t.v.?

I have a VA22E Vizio television and a stereo I want to hook up to it. The tv doesnt have an audio-out plug but is there a way i can change/program the audio-in plug into an audio-out or any other way possible so I can hook up my surround sound?
 
You should have an optical audio output. No, you can not change the audio input to a audio output. Is your tv connected to a cable box or disc network? if so they should have an audio output that you can connect to your stereo. Keep in mind stereo is only two channel, the left and right and you can not get surround sound from a stereo.
