i have a 92 volvo 240 with the factory radio in it. id like to keep this radio in, but id like to install a cord that could come out in the compartment below it. This cord would need to not only run the ipod to the stereo, but also charge it. Calling a couple stero places i get quotes that it would be 150$ for the kit plus 50$ installation which is really outrageous. I know on cars that have newer stereos, you can just run a cord out, but since i have this old factory radio tht id like to keep, i cant do that. I also do not want to use anything that works through the radio signal / cig adapter or tape player. i want something clean & installed. Is 200$ really reasonable? can i find the kit somewhere online for less then 150$?
also, if you have any suggestions for places to find replacement speakers, i need those too.
