He's 21 and can't tie his laces properly. He has awful hand eye coordination, he struggles a lot with hand eye coordination. Most mornings I have to help tie his shoes laces, he knows how to do it but he can't do it if that makes sense. I feel a little awkward having to help him, tie his laces, button up his shirt, button his jeans. I'm his aunt not his carer, I know that sounds selfish it just feels awkward for me, I'm only three years older than my nephew. My brother - his dad - isn't concerned at all that he can't tie his shoe laces or that he struggles with simple tasks. He was dropped on his head as a baby, his dad dropped him if that matters.
How can I help my 21 year old nephew learn to tie his shoes properly?
