Insects can be gut loaded from a variety of sources. It's actually better for them, too, as the commercial gut loads only offer a limited number of nutrients, whereas you switching things up a lot offers a much wider range of nutrients for the insects and, consequently, for the animal.

Solid gut loading, or food, should consist of whole wheat bran or oatmeal. This should make up the substrate for the insects, ensuring they are always well-fed and loaded. Moisture gut loading, which doubles as food, should consist of a variety of fruits and veggies, like strawberries, potato, carrots, cabbage, kale, celery, and so forth. There are few things you shouldn't feed them, but steer clear of acidic items like tomatoes, too much apple, cranberries, onions, et cetera.

Feed the crickets a selection of green vegetables you can also offer carrot sweet potato, slices of apple or orange and lime
