I recently switched to Cricket as a phone carrier and bought a new Sanyo Zio Android phone as part of the plan. I use Yahoo mail as my primary email account on my desktop computer and cannot get this phone to recognize or configure this.
I get a message after I key in my Yahoo email address and password that reads-"Attention: Mail access is not supported for some types of Yahoo accts...", then when I press continue, I get an error message reading that the username or password is incorrect, it is not.
I changed my Yahoo email account to a POP account which I have to pay for, still no luck. I also tried to to "enter the info manually" to no avail. I receive the same "username or password is incorrect", again I am keying in this information correctly.
I am getting very frustrated with this phone. It is my first Android phone and I like the idea of apps, but if I cannot configure this to receive or send emails or get email notification without accessing a web browser, it is basically worthless to me.
