How can I get this financial aid problem solved?

I want to go to a community college in my area. I've got all my classes, everything's set up, but the only problem is that my FAFSA hasn't come in yet. Aside from that, the FAFSA registers it as "incomplete" because I fall under the "special circumstances," being that I no longer live with my parents (through a series of events due largely in part to my mom getting old and paranoid, my parents are divorced as well), I live with my friend and his family, but I don't have taxes of my own, so somehow I fall under the category of "homeless youth" and FAFSA won't do my EFC.
This in itself isn't such a big problem, except that the financial aid office at my school says I need to prove legally that I'm homeless, even though I've got a place to stay because it's not my family. What can I do?
I'M BROKE.
BROKE.
COLLEGE.
STUDENT.
I qualify for financial aid and I have no job. I'm leeching the system for all it's got.
