How can I get this bad smell out of my backpack?

my dog stuck his face in my backpack, chewed part of my zipper, and ate something in there right before he took his bath so he was very smelly =(. i sprayed my backpack with air freshener but now it smells like dog and flowers which is worse. how can i get this out?

wash it. in the washing machine just like anything else.
will take out all animal smells/

Wash the backpack with white vinegar and water ... then it will smell like a pickle.
