How can i get THE MOST out of my car, while stock?

I don't know how to make this question so people will answer it right, lol- I want to the the most out of my 92 honda civic ex, as far as speed goes, (while it's stock) before i start with the bolt ons, and other mods...what adjustments can i make to get the most spped out of it, with out mods?

and please, american muscle lovers, i know it won't compare to your gas hogs, so keep the smart a** comments to yourself...
