How Can I Get the Media to Communicate to the U.S.A. My Views?

Well, there is an issue involving Foreign Affairs that I'm sure that if more people in this country would be aware, most would be outraged. As we all know, we have three branches of Government for things like laws. But, when it comes to Foreign Affairs the Federal Government is not asking us "The Government of the People" for our opinion.

Now, like I said, my views are that The Federal Government is doing something really really bad to an innocent country. I really feel that if the whole country were directly informed, this would not be happening.

Plus, what's happening will make us all look bad to the world and maybe even history; and that me point of view.
Thanks, Matt. I'm sorry that I didn't post it here, but the last time I mentioned something like this the question was erased. Your answer helps me a lot. This is a great country and I'm proud to have been born and raised here.

OK, I'll risk it:

I think its wrong for them to sanction Honduras because they were just following their procedures to protect their constitution. They took out their president because he wanted to change their constitution so he could rule for more terms.

This has nothing to do with the U.S.A., but this week the Federal Government stated that the U.S. will not consider new elections legit.

The Federal position here is that the president was elected democratically.

I don't think that's right. Their consitution protects them from any citizen that poses a threat to their rights.

Can you imagine having a president for many be 10 years or more? That is basis for dictatorships and tyranny.
The U.S.A. would never do this.
Not getting involved would be a better option than sactioning and interfering.

The threats are uncalled for and don't represent our nation's spirit.

Honduras is not even our enemy nor are it's enemy. We import and export to that country and they contribute to us in a nice way like that.
This is not even a republican or democrate nor independant issue.

John F. Kennedy declared in his inaugural address many point that fit this situation:

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

"To those new states whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom--and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside."

---- There's more ----
"Let all our neighbors know that we shall join with them to oppose aggression or subversion anywhere in the Americas. And let every other power know that this Hemisphere intends to remain the master of its own house."
We'll its not our fault because we can't know everything that happens in the world. I think we are being used.

I had an advantage because I heard many interviews and the issues on the news. The congressman is now acting as president doesn't even have ambitious desires to rule. He was just the first from the list. (It's like When President Nixon was impeched: the vice-president acted as president until the next election.)

Honduras is preparing for a new election but it's not like they can get it ready in a week. How long did we have our campaines in the USA before we elected our president?

But, get this: our Federal Government will NOT acknowledge the new election.

Secretary of State Hilary Clinton made the threats more official and because of her status it made it look like SERIOUS BUSINESS. But, they work for us and not the other way around.
We should be clear who's who in this issue:

Manuel Zelaya - The president who was threatning the Honduran Constitution and so was sent out of the country.

Roberto Micheletti - Honduras Acting President until the new election.

The U.S.A. Federal Government - Sactioning Honduras for taking Zelaya out of power.

Mrs. Hilary Clinton -- Federal Government figure who is on the forefront of sanctioning Honduras for removing Zelaya and who "seems" (or does) have the power to make more threats.

The U.S.A. -- The world leader of the free world!!!
