how can i get rid of weeds in my garden so i can seed it afterwards?

do i need to fully uproot the weeds or can i use a weedkiller then afterwards seed my garden

if you use weed killer then will have to wait a while for it to work
you can dig up the weeds and sow straight away

yes , your gonna have to manually pull the weeds out, fire your tiller up, or use your hoe, but you got to get the roots, good news is once you get that taken care of, keeping your garden tilled will usually keep the weeds knocked out

If you use a weed killer read the instructions and container carefully, since residues left in the soil may also kill your intentional plants if they are sown before the chemicals break down. Pulling them out and mulching is a far greener and less expensive way to get rid of weeds.

You can spray it with roundup or a weed killer and seed your garden. I would go with the roundup as it will kill and crab grass or anything green.
