I am nearly 14, and have written some poetry over the past 3 years, and people tell me its really good, and I would like to see if its good enough to get published. I live in Sydney and I have NO idea how to do this! What are the names of some Sydney publsihing companies that I could type out my poems and send to to see if they would publish them? And how would I do this? Would I wrtie a letter with my address, name, age, and some info on myself stating that I would liek them to publish my poems in a book, along with the poems? Also, what would stop my poem from being plagerised by people at the company when they read it? Should I say in the letter that they are copyrighted?
I am TOTALLY new to this and have no idea, I would just like to see if they could get published in a kids poem book, or a real poetry book.
