How can i get my dog to stop whining at night?

I dont mind and somtimes I sleep with him, he's three month's old, please help?
He has a big blanket to keep him warm
He's only three months old, he will sleep for like 3 hour's and wake up and sleep again, i know he has nightmares cause he growls in his sleep and bark's, when he see's some one he goes crazy, he looks at the mirror on the wall to see the reflection of the up stairs haalway, i let him sleep with me some time's, and he's a chiwahwah
i know he does have nightmares cause he growls in his sleep, he would be alseep most of the night and somtimes i let him sleep with me somtimes, when he see's somone he goes crazy he uses the mirror on the wall to see the reflection of the upstairs hallway, just waiting for some one
 
3 months old is just a wee little puppy the thing might be having night mares and whining about them or dreaming about chasing something but doesnt get it and starts crying it will stop when it matures
