I have a 7 week old baby (10lb at birth, now 13lb ish)...due to personal reasons I have had to make the very difficult decision to give up breastfeeding.
I started formula feeding on Monday but he seems not to be taking very much (max. 4oz per feed). Still getting wet/dirty nappies. Feeding 3hourly in day and attempting 4 hourly at night. Have tried winding during feed. Have tried different bottles/teats.
He always has been a fast feeder at the breast (15mins max, but with a fast flow and let-down) but I am aware that was high-calorie, high-quality milk and formula is not.....
Should I be concerned? Any ideas for improvement?
