I have several great ideas and scenes for a movie, but when i actually try too write the thing(litterally, when i try too type it down), it starts too seem like a poor idea,or as if after writing it, it will never be taken seriously.Any modivation ideas?
*edit* question says books and details say movie, accident-was thinking about other projects

I get like that too all the time! Its such a pain because it seems so amazing but when I get to it it just doesnt feel paper worthy. When this happens to me I just think well if it doesn't turn out good then I can tear it up and throw it away, but why waste a great idea on a lack of confidence? Or sometimes I look at a great book and think well they had to start somewhere too, it can turn out great.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Good luck!

It may be a good idea to put your ideas aside and focus on the skills necessary to be a writer... if you cannot master those, then no matter what, unless you sell your ideas, they will not be told.

Any good writer will tell you that they start with an outline. Any publisher that is going to seriously consider publishing your book will want an outline also.

As far as motivation, it is best to write about something that interest you or something you know and have an understanding about. That is the hallmark to being a good author.

Never worry about your work being taken seriously unless you are writing non-fiction, then it is best for your work to be exceptional.

I never thought my first would be published, but it was, so good luck to you!!
