How can I get make my nails appear to be nicer without resorting to painting them daily?

Lately some medication that I've taken has made my nails have an unappealing yellowish color, and it's noticeable to others now, so I'd like to find a way to make them look normal again. I'm a guitar player and artist, so my nails get scuffed up daily and polish chips off quickly. I would love to learn about tricks to make them look shiny and clear again without having any polish on them. Would soaking them in a whitening mouthwash or something do the trick? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi. You can try using Oriflame's Manicure Set.
1. Remove old nail polish with Nail Polish Remover.
2. Put your hand into a lukewarm soapwater to soften up the skin.
3. Apply Cuticle Remover Gel, leave it on for a few minutes and then gently push back cuticles.
4. Use a nail file to shape nails nicely with strokes from side to centre.
5. Use the Nail Polish Remover once again on the nails to remove the last traces of gel and soap and make the surface well prepared for the up-coming nail polish.
6. Coat nails with 2-in-1 Nail Hardener to make nail polish last longer.
7. Apply nail polish in three straight strokes, one down the centre and one on either side. Allow the first coat to dry before applying a second.
8. Finish off with a coat of 2-in-1 Nail Hardener to protect the nail and prevent colour from chipping.

In case, you don't want to use Nail Polish, use Nail Buffer Set.

With the help of a nail polish remover, remove the old nail polish thoroughly and then wash your hands with soap and water. Use a nail polish brush to scrub over and under the nails and then pat the hands dry with a soft towel.
Take one tablespoon lemon juice and one tablespoon baking powder and mix them well forming a paste. Now apply a small dot of this paste on the centre of each fingernail.
With the help of a buffer, gently buff your nails but don't overdo.
Now wash your hands again and pat them dry. Then massage a rich hand cream. When the nails are completely dry, apply two coats of nail polish.
This should really help with the removal of yellowing! just buff buff buff to make nail bed nice and shiny!xx

You can get a multi-buffer. Some have 2, 3, or 4 parts to them. I use the one with 4 steps... if you follow them you're nails will be smooth and glossy! Takes only minutes and only costs a couple bucks! Love it.
