I feel like, because I don't attend an ivy league school as an undergrad, that puts me at a huge disadvantage for getting into an ivy league law school. I attend one of the best public state universities in the nation (top 5), my GPA is a 3.72, and I'm double majoring in journalism and political science. What can I do to make myself stand out, so I can get into one of my dream schools?

I know someone who is graduating from a middle-rank school and he got into Stanford Law. His major was military and diplomatic affairs, he had near-perfect grades and he aced the LSAT. His "angle" is that is fluent in Arabic and served in Iraq. You need to find yours.

I would bring the grades up, and I hope you don't take political science thinking that gives you an edge for law school. ANY major that is critical-thinking based is good, and you should take higher math, philsophy and even logic classes to really have a shot.

Get a near perfect LSAT - and even then no guarantee - they are very competitive. Getting a Masters before applying will help as well.

Thanks
Bill
