If its been more than 6 months after their birth certificate was signed then you will have to pay out of pocket for it. However, if the father goes to the court within 6 months of the birth of the child then he can ask for a test and the government will pay for it but if he is proven to be the father he must pay for the test. its like $350 for each test. Sorry but no way to get it totally free unless the court orders it and its pretty hard to get the court to order it.
