how can i get a lawyer help?

ok. i injure my back and got an umbilical hernia like 30 days ago i have not gone to hospital to get check up because i do not have insurance. what happened is that after complaining to landlord about my 200 pound garage,s door not working well the spring that holds it broke my car was inside i called landlord .he did not do anything next day i needed my car to take my kid to school me and my 13 year old son lifted the garage,s door wife got car out . then i felt a pinch in my abdomen and like an electric shock on my back since then i am in pain mostly at night i spoke to a lawyer but he wants me to go to the hospital to evaluate the damage but i told him that i do not have insurance i do not want to end up with high bills does any of you know a lawyer that is associated with any kind of doctor or what should i do
i live in daly city ca.how can i get a lawyer to take my case if i have one
 
You want to see a personal injury attorney. Quite a few of them will take a case on a contingency basis; meaning that you don't get charged unless they recover some money for you. And normally they'll take around 1/3 of any recovery, plus costs and expenses.

All you need to do is ask a friend for a referral or open the phone book and start calling around.
 
You still need to get to a doctor to get your situation evaluated. No attorney, not even bottom feeding personal injury lawyers are gonna take your case without it.
