I currently have a child support order that was issued in New York. I had missed the hearing where they made the final judgment for the amount I should pay each month. The judge ruled for a number that is seriously too high. He did not consider that I have another child support order and a family I currently have to support too as well. Currently once child support from New York takes about 70% of my check, I am left barely anything to support my family.
So many people are so quick to judge. I am a loving father to all of my children and I do support them all. For whatever circumstances, I did not make that hearing and it was out of my control. Based on that, I was imposed this huge payment which regardless of what state is way more than any child could possibly want or need. 70% of anyone's pay for one child for anyone is highway robbery. I love my child and want to give all of the the world, but I have to be able to not only support them, but myself too as well. Any one that can assist with some decent advice rather than judgement, please feel free to respond.
