My dad has a 1972 Honda 350 four that he used to ride when he was a little older than me. There's also another one just like it, and both of them need carb work. One has the carbs, they just need put on it, and the other doesn't have any, I have to buy them. Besides that, the one he rode has been sitting for about 10 to 20 years. I checked the motor, it's still good because it has good compression and still spins, but I don't know the first thing about carbs. I know that they're pretty simple, but I don't have them to look at yet, so I wanted some tips. I decided that since we're doing a Rebel project together, I wanted to surprise him by getting his old bike running, and I thought it would be cool if I got the duplicate of it running too. What do I need to do when rebuilding, adjusting and mounting the carbs? Also, what should I be worried about with engines that have sat for so long? Like I said, they both spin over and have good compression, but I don't want them to lock up as soon as I get the things running. What do I do to ensure that they don't?
