how can i fix my iphone 3gs?

my iphone fell in the hot tub last night, was only in the water for a second or 2 but now it wont work. what should i do to fix it or how much dose it cost for a new one?
 
A new one without a plan is $300 I believe. Roughly.

The best thing you can do is keep your phone off until it dries.
Water conducts electricity, and turning it on while it's wet allows electricity to go all over the device, frying the circuits (it goes places it shouldn't be).

My opinion is, if it costs for new, then better to have a new iPhone. Thanks.
