How can I experience the Native American Culture?

I have always been fascinated by Native Americans, and I would love to know if there is a website, or way to meet Native American people, go to one of their events, ceremonies, dances, SOMETHING to get closer to the culture.
does anyone know where or how I could do this?
Even if it is a minor thing, I would love to know anything you guys know about Native American culture, where it exists today, and how to experience it today
 
unfortunately white people blatantly and purposefully destroyed real native american culture as they colonized the continent. many natives try to hold on to their cultures, but it seems they've been given no choice but assimilation - or live impoverished lives. white people look at native american culture and traditions as a joke - as silly, as something to be parodied - native americans are used as fricking mascots. if you want real native american culture, you must find the oldest generations of tribes, let them tell you of their culture, I would imagine that despite making profits, they are unhappy that they have to resort to casinos and selling fireworks and though they don't resent white people, they resent what can only be defined as the destruction of their culture.
 
You can live and work as a teacher (or something else if u like) on the reserve in the west. That is the best way to experience and asorb the culture as well as getting to know them personally.
