How can i erase my ringtones from my cell phone?

I download some ringtones from mobileforfun and sometimes u cant hear anything so I erase them. I downloaded one and I couldnt hear anything so I was gonna erase it but it didnt let me... I erased everything out my phone and I still cant erase it... What can I do or whats wrong with my phone. I have a Metropcs messager
