hi,has anyone got any ideas of things that you can use to stop cats pooing in my garden its needs to be safe for other animals as i have got Bunny's ETC they have the run of the garden in the day when i am there.no nasty anwers please
not in my garden not nice when you have young kids!

My gran got this box thing that makes a very high pitch sound that normaly hurts the cats ears so it runs of and doesnt hang about too long to do a poo on your lawn :) though the sound hurts my ears as its the sound that young people can hear and not adults.

Get a high powered pump water gun, just shoot the little buggers up the b*m, do that a few times and they will not come back for more, trust me I have done it, it does not harm the cat's but it does give them a hell of a fright, another good target is the head, they don't like it up em you know.

My sister has 3 cats and did have a rabbit. She puts used teabags with lemon juice on them cos im told they hate anything citrus and she scatters them around areas where they come onto your garden. Also if you see the suspect come into your garden whist your there, grab some water in bottle and go up to it and squirt water at it.Repeat as often as you can and that cat and other cats will soon realise its not a friendly garden to come into.Well it worked for my sister anyway.Even though she does have 3 cats and their too wimpish to scare off other cats and defend their own territory:)hehe.Good luck.Hope it helps.

This will probably sound very weird, but my hair stylist told me about this.. I tried it, it worked.. I've told all of my family and friends, and its worked 100%.
Go to a hair salon and get their scraps of hair, Put it on top of the soil in your garden and the cats can't stand it in their claws! Its totally safe for your other animals, and it will wash into the soil overtime and still work just as effectively. And, the best part is.. its FREE!!

Try a "Zen garden" (a.k.a. rock garden). By removing the spaces for the cats to bury their waste,, they should stop doing it.
Alternately, take it in stride and accept it as fertilizer.
