I put about 1 to1-1/2 cups of water in a sauce pan, add some salt and butter, let it boil, then add the broccoli. Stir it so that it all cooks evenly. In about 5 minutes it will be done, but if you want it softer, you can let it go a little longer. Drain in a colander.
Here's a cool recipe you may like:
1-2 cups cooked broccoli
1 package of cooked egg noodles
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of milk
2 tsp of crushed garlic
1 cup of chopped cooked ham
a little salt and pepper
mix it all up, over medium heat and it's great. you can adjust this recipe to make more or less easily. you can add more to it if you want to, like carrots, cauliflower, lots of things!
