how can i convince my dad about my college choices?

I want to become a web designer, which is in the graphic design area, but my dad wants me to become a computer programmer (like him). I've decided to look for schools with both graphic design & computer science majors, but they aren't really the well renowned top comp sci schools of the nation (which is why my dad is against it).

My dad is forcing me to apply to schools WITHOUT graphic design (along w/ some that do) What do i do?
 
I was in a similar predicament and luckily my school of choice gave me the highest scholarship. Maybe you may get lucky as well.
