How can I convert my scanned photos to jpeg format?

I believe they are currently in Microsoft Office Document Imagaing File. I have a large sum, over 300, and I need convert them to jpeg format for my iPod. I know you can open with paint and save it there, but I don't want to do that for 300. Any ideas on a faster way?
