Firefox browser is keeping the same history items in its drop-down URL bar, and no matter how many times I type in different URLs, press Shift + Del, or clear private data, clear files and cookies, etc, these same history items are reappearing over and over.
I've gone to Tools - Options - Privacy tab and selected the history tab to zero days, but the existing items in URL drop-down bar are still there. I've altered the length of time I want items saved in history, but these URLs still listed in the drop-down don't go away.
This isn't an issue of keeping future items out - it's an issue of getting rid of the same old items which won't go away in the URL bar. Additionally, I don't have a "private browsing" option in my Firefox.
Surely there's somewhere I can go/something I can do to get rid of these things. They're like roaches that keep coming back at night, no matter how much insecticide you spray. If I can't get this fixed, I'll have to either delete Firefox altogether, or go back to using only IE *shudder*.
