How can I change my drawing style?

I'm a decent artist. People tell me I'm very good. I can't believe them because I HATE my drawings. Sometimes perspectives are off and I simple can't draw people in poses, no matter how many times I practice. This isn't a question on how to improve it, however. I have trouble with the actual STYLE. When I was little, all of my how-to-draw books that I owned were anime, and pretty bad kinds of anime at that. I don't draw anime (it's so boring to look at), but the habits have stuck with me for years. So if I'm trying to draw something (apart from actual realism) it has a touch of that stupid anime with it. I want a style that is kind of cartoony, but when I do that, it looks like Disney characters, really. I'm stuck between semi-realistic figures and anime. I can't change it >_< and I don't even know where I would go with my style if I were changing it.
