How can I buy a car with bad credit and no cosigner?

I was laid off about 8 months ago and missed my credit card payments. Also my AT&T bill went to collections. Well about 4 months ago I enlisted in the US army and have done very very well and making all my payments. (I cut the credit cards from $6,500 down to about $2,900) They said my credit score is 594 which is not bad but not really good.

Well here's the thing. I NEED a car like in the next 4 days to get to my first duty station, but I cannot find ANYONE to finance it for me. Since it is my first time financing a car and because of my credit history they say i need a cosigner. Unfortunately my parents filed for bankruptcy maybe 8-9 years ago and it is still affecting them so i dont think they are a viable solution. I tried my grandparents and they cant get financed for their car either.

I tried carmax, chase bank, USAA, and a few local dealers and they all tell me the same thing: Get a cosigner.

Someone please help I am running out of options. Thanks
 
What's wrong with cash? You knew 4 months ago you'd need a car, now it's panic time and you're going to make a foolish financial decision once again. Why did you wait until you only had FOUR DAYS.

You've got a job, you've obviously been earning money because you've paid down your credit card bills. Why haven't you been saving money for a car?

If you can't come up with the $1000 cash you'll need for a cheap car you better start selling everything you own to raise some funds. A Greyhound bus will get you to your duty station.

but in a pinch ..you still got the credit card? any avabile credit? there are cars for 1000 dollars if you look hard....private lot,,,trade paper,,,junk yard [no kidding]

get a cheap car for cash or take the bus. the Army should pay for your transportation to the new station either by bus or air. oh, thanks for joining the army and helping protect all of us. THUMBS UP to you

about the only way i know is pay cash or trade something for a car. maybe you have something that someone needs and they have a car for sale and if you 2 get to talking maybe you can trade.
