How can I be an amazing writer/author?

I'm trying to right a book but i just graduated from high school and havent started collage yet for journalism. i dont know where to start or what i want to write about. All I know is that I'm in love with Nicolas Sparks books. I'm thinking maybe I want to write a love story. And I have the passion for writing like you wouldn't beileve. Can anyone help? any tips or ideas? Thanks
 
I'll be honest here..if you have such a love of writing..why aren't you doing so? Any story ideas must come from your imagination..anything i say will only be something I;m interested in, not you. look at what you really like..things you don't l.like. You like Sparks..how much do you know about romance to begin with/ Write what you know or can imagine. Don't relies on others to give you ideas or tell you what to write. A writer writes! I'm not being harsh, just truthful I've been writing for over thirty some odd years. i don't care of anything ever gets published. I write because I have to. So..
sit down, turn on your computer or pick up a pen and...WRITE!

Write. Then write some more. And more. And keep writing. Keep practicing. Take a couple classes. Edit, edit, edit, then rewrite. Ask people to help you edit. Listen to criticism. Read articles and literary criticism and figure out your voice and write.

Then keep writing and keep practicing. That's really the only thing you can do. Got an idea? Write it down. Is it crap? That's okay. Just keep practicing.
