How can I avoid burning the bottom of the pot when cooking fried rice?

I think I put enough oil, but by the time I add in the ingredients, the bottom of the pot gets burnt. The fire isn't that high either, I usually put it at low-medium.

ok i have burned fried rice so many times its crazy but i learned that u put oil let it heat up alittle and add all the ingredients at once and u have to constanly stir or it will stick and some will stick but it wont burn if u keep every thing moving. its almost lik cooking scrambled eggs u use spatula and constantly move it around hope that helps :)

Don't turn on the stove until you have all the ingredients ready to go, all mixed in a bowl next to the stove. Put oil in the pan, then turn on the stove. Let the oil heat for ~30 sec, then dump the bowl of ingredients into the pan. Stir frequently. Try putting the heat lower, if it's still a problem.
