How can i automatically close a window after 2 to 5 seconds using html php or

javascript? I've seen a lot of code online but none if it works!

Basically what i have right now is when someone fills out my form and hits the submit button a new window opens up saying thank you. i would like that thank you page to close after 2 to 5 seconds.

PLEASE HELP...
