How can I ask a girl out without a car?

Well, i cannot legally drive and i would like to ask a girl out. i feel that my parents driving us places will be a turnoff, but i don't know. How do other people do it? This is probably an obvious question but I know at lease SOMEONE knows (or has the same question).
